BIJS 2025 – 28th to 30th November 2025
Celebrating Excellence in the Jewellery and Bullion Industry
The much anticipated BIJS 2025 commenced at 10:30 AM, welcoming guests at the Main Gate, followed by a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10:55 AM. The program officially began at 11:00 AM with a formal welcome, the National Anthem, and the traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony.
Ms. Kranti Nagvekar, Founder of KNC Services, delivered the Welcome Address, setting the tone for a celebration of craftsmanship, innovation, and leadership within the jewellery and bullion sectors.
The exhibtion was graced by distinguished dignitaries, including:
• Chief Guest: Mr. Subir Sen, Director – B.C. Sen Jewellers
• Guest of Honour: Mr. Suvro Chandra, Joint Managing Director – P C Chandra Jewellers
• Guest of Honour: Mr. Mohd. Ishrat, Mustafa’s PTE Ltd (felicitated by Mr. Ravi Karel)
• Guest of Honour: Mr. Chetan Kumar Mehta, President IBJA (Jewellery Division) / President JAB / CMD – Laxmi Diamonds, Bangalore

Lifetime Achievement Award:
The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Samar Kumar De, Working President of SSBC, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the industry. The award was felicitated by Mr. Subir Sen, Mr. Suvro Chandra, Mr. Deepak Soni, and Mr. Sandeep Kulthia.
Durga Awards:
The prestigious Durga Awards were presented to:
• Ms. Sohini Roy – Bengal Jewellery LLP (felicitated by Mr. Suvro Chandra and Mr. Mohd. Ishrat)
• Ms. Pushpalata Suryawanshi – Director, Vicky Jewellery Works (felicitated by Mr. Chetan Kumar Mehta and Mr. Deepak Soni)
• Ms. Rupa Kundu – Jashomati Mahanam Jewellers (felicitated by Mr. Subir Sen and Mr. Samar Kumar De)
These awards honored their dedication, exceptional work, and significant contributions to the jewellery industry.
Exhibition Highlights:
The exhibition also announced the Design Competition and Karigar Awards, providing artisans a platform to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Thank You Speech by Mr. Sandeep Kulthia, celebrating excellence, innovation, and leadership within the jewellery and bullion community.
BIJS 2025 reaffirmed its position as a premier platform recognizing talent, innovation, and leadership in the jewellery and bullion sectors.
The 2025 edition continues BIJS’s tradition of blending heritage with innovation. Exhibitors unveiled collections that highlight Bengal’s famed craftsmanship while embracing global trends. The event also fosters cross-border trade opportunities, with buyers from across India and abroad engaging directly with manufacturers.
In essence, BIJS 2025 today was a vibrant showcase of Bengal’s jewellery artistry and a powerful business platform for the industry’s future.
